YouTube will now automatically label AI videos
YouTube is rolling out a new system to automatically label videos that appear to contain realistic AI-generated content. The platform will use its own detection technology to apply these labels, moving beyond its previous policy that relied on creators to self-disclose.
MY TAKE
This is a necessary step for major platforms to increase transparency and combat misinformation. The technical challenge of accurately detecting all forms of generated content will be immense, but it is a problem worth solving.
